Sure games are supposed to be about fun,and it's subjective to each individual.but it should be for the devs of fighting games,to reach the point in making a fighting game that closely patterns real combat.the eb and like water.(okay, bruce lee tangent).but you should get my meaning.make the best fighting game.not just add shallow things that dilute the fighting.
VIRTUA FIGHTER VS TEKKEN PS2
So basically what i'm saying, before you snap at someone, know what they are saying before saying something.i have had fun with each fighting game.but they are all getting old in the ay urban reign on ps2 in the multiplayer.that has potential to be a great fighter from namco if they turned it into a fighter.actually better than tekken with a couple of tweaks.so i'm not bagging you.but slow your roll. Namco got it right with soul calibur(especially the dreamcast version).they made a technical weapons fighter.but then they just kept adding characters.nothing new really.same with street fighter 2.turbo was about perfect.then it just went down hill.only coming back a little with alpha 3. When yu suzuki and am2 made the vf series, they wanted to pattern the game as if it was martial arts being learned.vf is not easy.you can get in and fight, but good luck beating an expert.you got to learn the could be said the same about doa,but doa is not respected the world over as a technical fighter.a pretty fighter, but not like vf.but even vf could be better.if you played shenmue(also from yu suzuki)then you would have seen what he is trying to show you with Ryo Hazuki.he had to LEARN martial arts and different styles. I HAVE PLAYED THEM ALL.i love fighting games.ġ.the first had a cool counters and major bounce in the boobs.Ģ.the second one had great improvement on counters and looked great and had good backgrounds interaction which i liked.and big boobs.ģ.the third just had bigger backgrounds and cool cinemas.and big boobs.Ĥ.the fourth just made bigger backgrounds and more detail with better fluid movement.and big boobs.īut the game hasn't progressed much in the fighting engine.he himself said(tommy) that he made it easy to get into.nothing wrong with that.but when you do that it goes away from being similar to learning a martial art.martial arts is not easy.and it's even harder fighting a real opponent.do you honestly believe a casual fighter is going to beat an expert?nope.not even close.making a casual fighting game doesn't make it the best fighter.even if it is fun.
VIRTUA FIGHTER VS TEKKEN SERIES
I have played every DOA game since the series came out.i bought and played every DOA game since tecmo bought the first arcade board from sega.which DOA started from.which was to copy VIRTUA FIGHTER.just like namco did with TEKKEN.i bought and played:ĭoa on playstation without 3d backgroundsĭoa 2 on japanese dreamcast which was better than the US versionĭoa 2 hardcore on ps2 which had more polygons but poor texturesĭoa ultimate(2 and a tad slower than 3) on my xbox which had better graphics You just took it as a jab at microsoft as fanboys always DO.read what i sad again at the top.my first post.then comment.read, then comment.i gave kudos to each game.but each game needs improvement.but vf needs less work than the other fighters.
